On Tuesday 14th June, Automation Consultants held the inaugural Atlassian Assembly at the Haberdashers’ Hall in central London.
The event was well attended, with many of the guests being past and present customers of Automation Consultants, who were keen to find out more about Atlassian solutions and how they could benefit their business. Many were also looking forward to seeing the new version of Portfolio for Jira shown publically for the first time in the UK, if not the world.
The event kicked off with a welcome from Automation Consultants CEO, Jeff Cunliffe, and Director, Francis Miers. This was followed by a presentation from Atlassian Expert Partner Manager, Matthew Coughlan, on the history of Atlassian, its technologies, culture, and plans going forward.
Darren Thatcher, an Agile coach, then led a session on how best to use Atlassian products for Agile, especially Jira Software. In this session he looked in-depth at why a person combining knowledge of Jira Software with a good knowledge of Agile methodology, was necessary to implement agile successfully.
The final presentation was led by Automation Consultant’s very own Mitchell Davison, who showed how the newly released Portfolio for Jira 2.0 can be used to view, track and adjust many Jira projects in real time, allowing you to see the impact of your changes before committing them.
After the presentations, the guests networked with drinks and food, while AC staff showed off the Atlassian technologies in their lab.
