Automation Consultants has partnered with Atlassian and will now sell and support its software development and collaboration tools.
The Australian software company’s offerings include issue tracking tool Jira, the collaboration tool Confluence, HipChat the private chat service, and a range of source code management tools including Stash and BitBucket.
Automation Consultants’ director Jeff Cunliffe explains how Atlassian fits into the company’s portfolio: “Atlassian takes a lighter agile approach with the software lifecycle – the Atlassian tools are cloud based and low cost. As with all good SaaS solutions it’s quick and easy for companies to get up and running – minimal overheads and operational expenditure means teams can collaborate and development applications efficiently and on budget.”
Atlassian’s cloud and server based solutions scale up to and over 10,000 users. The company works with application development teams at brands including, BMW, eBay and Adobe.
“We were approached by Atlassian because we both believe in the same integrated approach to the software lifecycle. And while Atlassian may traditionally be found in the small to mid-size markets, we believe it has an enterprise role to play as well”, continues Cunliffe.
“Why wouldn’t you use Jira with an HP, Microsoft or IBM solution if it was the best fit for your business? Typically the answer to that question would focus on compatibility, but we have the expertise and product knowledge to not only support Atlassian in an enterprise environment, but integrate it with proprietary software as well. We only recently demonstrated a successful integration between HP Quality Center Enterprise and Jira in our lab for a major blue chip client.”
